Unexpected twists

It’s amazing how quickly life can change. One minute we were on vacation about to head out to the ocean to visit some family, the next minute our dog is a paraplegic…

I could run through the whole story, but realistically none of that matters; it just sucks.

Fortunately, Rudie is not in pain, and there is a chance that someday she will walk again. In the meantime we’ve been getting a crash course in caring for a dog who can’t use the back half of her body.

It’s been a long couple of days, but it’s good to be home. We will see how chasing a 1 year old and rehabbing a dog goes.
